Blue Horse Mukwa Equine Retirement and Rescue Center
Our Mission
We are a 501 c c non profit organization dedicated to providing a good quality life to our four legged Equine friends, that have been deemed past their prime, abandoned, abused or neglected .The horses that come here are given a lifetime home here. If we are at capacity we try to find placement for those horses that may be in harms way and we try to help people find homes for their horses that they can no longer keep.Â
The dogs that come here we try to re-home, but do offer a permanent home to those that are not adoptable. We depend on your support to help us care for all the animals that live here. We have been established since 1999.
We regularly pull dogs from the local small rural shelter in Mecklenburg County and have them vetted and rehomed with approved applications.
We also partner with Hollyz Hobbie Rescue . Holly does tnr as well as running the volunteer page for urgent dogs at the Mecklenburg County Animal Shelter. Team work saves lives.
