Silky Terrier Rescue Charitable Trust
Our Mission
We are a national organization that rescues Silky Terriers, Silky Terrier Mixes, and dogs identified as Silky Terriers that are abandoned or in untenable circumstances. We promote responsible and caring ownership of Silky Terriers. We are an all-volunteer group. Silky Rescue includes evaluation, addressing health issues, neutering, retraining, housing, and placement where appropriate, as well as public education. In considering puppy mill issues, additional expenses and time may be needed, as they require more work than most Silkys that have been socialized. Our volunteers follow up on our placements. We rescue approximately 60 dogs per year at an average cost of about $400.00 per dog.
We are affiliated with and receive support from the Silky Terrier Club of America (AKC Parent Club) and its members. We are grateful for their support.
Donations are tax-deductible and greatly appreciated.
