Furry Friends Animal Rescue
Our Mission
Furry Friends Animal Rescue
We are a cat and dog rescue organization started by a large group of experienced rescuers - we wanted to be part of an ethical rescue group which would allow us to help homeless cats and dogs in the North Texas area.  We value all the experience and knowledge brought to this group by the volunteers so the group is member based. We welcome new volunteers and fosters, both experienced or new to rescue. You can contact us by email or through our website - we will get back to you quickly.
FFAR is a 501(c)3 volunteer cat and dog (all-breeds) rescue group based in the Plano area. We rescue primarily from Denton and Collin County's Animal Control facilities.
All our cats and dogs are fully vetted prior to adoption - this includes all age-appropriate vaccinations, feline leukemia/aids testing, heartworm tests, deworming, spay or neuter, microchips and other medical treatment as re
Adoption Policy
We are a new group and we will be rescuing more as we recruit new foster homes - so check back often!
We do not adopt on a first-come, first-served basis - it is our goal to find the right home for the cat or dog as well as ensuring that the cat or dog is the right match for its new family. A win/win situation. We do home visits for our dogs.
Our Adoption Fees are $160 for cats and $250 for dogs.
All our cats and dogs are fully vetted prior to adoption - this includes all age-appropriate vaccinations, feline leukemia/aids testing, heartworm tests, deworming, spay or neuter, microchips and other medical treatment as required.
You can fill out an Adoption Application online on our website.
All our cats and dogs live in foster homes so we don't have a physical shelter for you to visit. If you are interested in meeting any of our cats or dogs, just send us a an email or fill out an Adoption Application on our website.
