Animal Rescue Crusaders of Texas
Our Mission
The Animal Rescue Crusaders of Texas is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) ALL Volunteer animal rescue and adoption organization. Many of our volunteers have been involved in animal rescue, rehab and adoption for several years.
The mission of the ARC OF TEXAS is to rescue at-risk animals. We take in animals, provide veterinary treatment, and care for them in foster homes. We then find our pets loving and safe permanent homes through adoption events, Petfinder, and our presence in Petco stores. We hold fundraisers to support our rescue mission. We actively promote animal welfare and the prevention of cruelty to animals. We educate the public on the importance of spaying and neutering, and assist local TNR projects for feral colonies.
ARC takes in animals from local shelters in the Collin, Dallas, and Fort Worth area, rescue abandoned animals (TNR, hoarding situations, etc.) and take in owner surrenders to the extent that our resources allow. We are an all in-home foster care organization. Through our foster homes, we provide a safe environment where we can nurture and rehabilitate our rescued animals. We then promote our animals to the general public by way of adoption events, pet store relationships, Facebook, PetFinder and our website. Meet and greets between potential adopters and rescues are required and are a great way for the adopters to learn more about the foster animals.
