Our Mission
The Whiskers Fund mission is to better the life of an animal in need. We are fully committed to finding the best home possible for an animal and stand by every animal we save through our rescue for its entire life. All vetting is always completed (age appropriately) before going to their ‘furever’ home as it is very important to us that you and your new fur family member start off the best way possible. Our pets are like family and we expect our adopters to view them that way as well. We look forward to welcoming you to our family.
Adoption Policy
Everyone is required to fill out our adoption application, we then call the potential adopter and discuss the animal they are applying to adopt, go over any questions they may have and we may have regarding their application. We truly work each animal based on their needs and find a home that's right for that animal. We require 2 non personal references, we contact both and have a conversation regarding the potential adopter. We also require a vet reference and call the vet to verify. We do require a FaceTime walk through of their home if the adopter is not local, to ensure the animal will have a safe and secure place to live.
Once matched with an animal and approved we make arrangements for the animal to go home, we are very clear that we will be keeping in touch and checking in for updates. We encourage everyone to join our private adopted group so they can post and keep up with their litter mates and just have a network of others that have adopted!
