Our Mission
The Hawkins County Humane Society assists throughout the county in animal adoptions, education & advocacy, connecting loss dogs/cats with owners, addressing animal abuse, etc..
~ The shelter is in great need of dog/cat/puppy/kitten food, kitty litter (non-clumping preferred) and  cleaning supplies- disposable gloves (med or lrg preferred) bleach, OdoBan, Pine-Sol, Lysol , Dish Liquid, 13, 30 and 39 gallon trash bags, laundry detergent....basically any cleaning items you'd use at home, we can use at the shelter.
* Consider being a foster home for an animal that needs special care or socialization. Contact the Shelter for additional information.
* Volunteers are welcome to assist with care of the shelter animals, socialize with the animals, walk dogs, play with
Adoption Policy
Hawkins County Humane Society is a 501c3 shelter and organization that serves as the only resource for homeless animals in the Hawkins County Area.  Our services include the gentle care of homeless dogs, puppies, cats and kittens.  We are looking to make the shelter better in any way possible. Our staff of highly caring individuals provides care 7 days a week, as well as support to the public in the form of adoption and placement support, referencing of animal related calls to appropriate government bodies, and of course, the cooperation and coordination of volunteer efforts, including this Petfinder page.  Please feel free to let them know your appreciation for the difficult job they perform. Efforts are made to keep this site as up-to-date as possible but we always advise that you contact the shelter with any specific questions regarding availability (of cats or dogs by size, type or age).
