PawsFund
Our Mission
PawsFund is a community and volunteer organization supporting a spay/neuter, feeding and adoption program for homeless cats in the Clarksville-Montgomery County community and shall operate exclusively for educational and charitable causes.
PawsFund’s purpose is to reduce the population of cats in the Clarksville, TN area by spaying and neutering cats within feral cat colonies. Once cats are spayed/neutered, they are to be released back to the feral colonies or adopted out, whichever is deemed most appropriate to the cat(s) in question. Additional efforts will be made to re-home any cats or kittens that can be domesticated to prevent the colony sizes from growing.
The PawsFund organization will also educate the public about feral cats. Means of doing so include advertising on social media and websites. The information shared will include facts and statistics about feral cats.
Adoption Policy
We have an adoption application that the potential adopter must fill out. Once that's done, we look it over and if it meets our standards, then we schedule a Zoom Interview with the person, in which at least 2-3 members of our team will ask questions and get a feel of whether or not it is a good match. If the person passes our interview, they may set a "Meet and Greet" with the foster to determine if it's still a good match in person. If it is, then the person pays the foster the adoption fee or sends payment to our Rescue PayPal account and takes the animal home to their forever home.
