Our Mission
The mission of the Brookings Humane Society is to shelter, protect homeless animals. To educate and promote the importance of responsible pet ownership including a robust spay/neuter program.
Adoption Policy
Adoptions are currently by appointment at this time. We're located at 120 West 2nd Street South (by the Brookings Airport!) We schedule adoption appointments Tuesday thru Friday noon to 6pm & Saturdays 11am to 4pm.
We have a brief adoption application that can be filled out on site at time of your adoption appointment. Â
Our adoption fees vary based on type of animal.
Our dogs are generally $150 - $350+tax (everyone is spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped! Fees may vary for seniors, special needs)
Our cats/kittens are generally $25 - $105 + tax (fully vetted, spayed or neutered and microchipped).
