Little Rhody Rescue
Our Mission
To date Little Rhody Rescue and it’s affiliates have adopted over 13,500 shelter dogs to loving wonderful families.
Little Rhody Rescue is a 501(c)3 non-profit dog rescue and quarantine facility located in Rhode Island.
We strive to find safe homes for abandoned and neglected dogs. Kate Healey Dubuque is the founder and President of the rescue. All of our dogs are rescued from animal shelters in Tennessee and Texas that are considered to be “high kill” shelters. We now are also assisting our pals in Louisiana as well!
They are then tested for disease, spayed and neutered, micro-chipped, vaccinated, de-wormed and administered preventions for fleas, ticks and heart worm. We are licensed in the states of Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine.
Currently, in 2024, we have been attaining animals for the use as Assistance dogs. Canines are brilliant workers for these impacted by PTSD, emotional or anxiety disorders, physical, sight or hearing impairments, or Autism/ spectrum!
