Safe Cat Network
Our Mission
Safe Cat Network is a very small animal rescue organization trying to do our part by helping animals in need. Our main focus started with TNR... Trap, Neuter and Return/Rehab/Rehome of stray cats. Spay/Neuter education is essential in all that we do. A few ways that SCN helps is through rehoming of cat and kittens of all ages and feral cat colony management. We also assist with networking all types of animals into proper homes or other rescues for better placement and care when we are not eqipped to assist. Not only do we work very hard advocating for our furry friends but we have developed a sanctuary for ducks, chickens, unwanted racing pigeons and a few turkey, many with special needs. As a small rescue we rely on networking and maintaining great relationships with other rescuers and rescue organizations to help any animal in need that crosses our path. We believe that no one rescue or rescuer can do it all and in working together we will make a difference.
Adoption Policy
Adopters must fill out an adoption application which includes all information regarding people in the household, address, if rental they must provide landlord information to verify that pets are allowed. Home visits will be done at the time that the pet is adopted. If applying for a cat, unless it is for a barn cat, they must be indoor only. Veterinary information is verified as all pets in the household must be up to date.
If there is a resident pet in the household that may have an issue with an incoming pet then we will do a meet and greet prior to finalizing the adoption.
If there is a special husbandry animal such as a reptile/duck/chicken we do make sure that the adopter has the proper set up and location variances allow for that type of pet.
