Our Mission
Please note, we are a foster based organization and we do not have a central building. The first step in the adoption process is to complete an application and it will be sent to that animals foster who will contact you. *Please note, we adopt only to families local to the Pittsburgh, PA area.

Paws Across Pittsburgh is a 501(c)(3), foster based, non-profit Animal Rescue located in the Pittsburgh, PA area. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome homeless, abused and/or unwanted dogs and cats.
We are an all volunteer organization with the goal of providing vet care, socialization skills and nutritional needs while living in a loving foster home. All animals that enter into the rescue receive wellness care, including spay/neuter, vaccinations, preventative care and a microchip, as well as any other veterinary care they may need.
Since our animals are in homes like yours, we see how our foster animals interact with our family members on two legs and four. For animals who need training, we use Force Free methods and positive reinforcement which motivates the pet while building a trusting, loving bond.
Adoption Policy

We do not adopt out of state.
Adoption fees:
Puppies -- $325
Dogs: 6 months and over - $250
Seniors - $175
Cats: $75 over 3 months
Kittens: $100 under 3 months
Senior Cats $50
Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, routine vaccinations and tests, deworming and flea treatment, as well a microchip.
We require 3 personal references and a home visit prior to setting up the meet & greet and finalizing any adoptions.
We would love for you to meet our adoptable dogs and cats. Since our animals are in private homes, we do not have regular hours. Please feel out an application on www.pawsacrosspittsburgh.com. Upon completion of the application, the foster will receive that application and contact you. Meet & Greet are only established after applications are approved.
