Shepherds Without Borders
Our Mission
Shepherds Without Borders is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and is 100% volunteer/donation driven. We are based in the Pacific Northwest of the United States, primarily in Washington and Oregon. We are a foster based rescue, so our available dogs are being fostered in various homes in various areas.
All of the German Shepherds placed through Shepherds Without Borders are temperament assessed before being accepted into our rescue. While this is no guarantee of future behavior it does help us understand how the dog responds to new situations which can help give our adopters peace of mind with the stability of the dogs we have offered. We accept owner surrenders of good temperament and our trained volunteers scour shelters in selected areas for the casually discarded but good dogs who, through no fault of their own, found themselves homeless. These dogs are our mission, our passion and our commitment.

Adoption Policy
Thank you for being interested in fostering or adopting a rescued GSD! Â We are a foster based program that is active in Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Central California. If you see a dog that interests you and you would like to meet them, please get that process started by filing out an adoption application!
