Our Mission
ABOUT FRIENDS OF METRO ANIMAL SHELTERS
Friends of Metro Animal Shelters is a completely foster and volunteer run nonprofit rescue organization based out of Mustang, OK. We exist to hep unwanted animals from situations that could lead to harm or euthanasia. We rely on our relationship with our community to fuel our mission of alleviating overcrowded animal shelters in Oklahoma City Metro Area. We believe pet overpopulation affects our community, and by partnering with shelters and the public, we promote responsible pet ownership, spay and neuter, and adoption with the dream of one day ending the companion animal epidemic we currently face.
FOMAS is an all breed and all age, foster based dog and cat rescue. This means every dog we save goes directly into a foster home while it searches for its forever home.
Friends of Metro Animal Shelters, formerly known as Friends of the Mustang Animal Shelter, was established in 2013 to support the local shelter in Mustang. Through our efforts, and the support of our amazing community, FOMAS has grown and now helps save animals from all of the Okc Metro with our network of foster homes.

Adoption Policy
All our dogs and cats are spayed or neutered, micro-chipped, up to date on vaccinations, and given a broad spectrum dewormer. Dogs are also heartworm tested, and cats of 6 months are tested for FIV and Feline Leukemia.
Our adoption fee is $85 for cats. Dog: Puppies and Small Breed $200, Adults over 15lbs $150, Seniors 8yrs+ $100
