Love animals but not ready to adopt? Fostering is a great opportunity to open your home for one of our animals on a temporary basis. It allows you the chance to see how a pet might fit into your family, allows our shelter animals the opportunity to spend time away from their kennels, or can even give them a chance to receive extra special care in time of medical need.

Animal Charity is a not for profit organization with a veterinary clinic and the only humane society in Mahoning county.
It is Animal Charity's mission to bring about a world, a time, and a state of mind where humane societies are no longer necessary. Animal Charity works hard daily to put an end to animal suffering, neglect, and cruelty. We diligently work ensuring that every animal lives happy and healthy in its natural environment or in a safe home.
Adoption Policy
We now located all under one roof at our new building!
The first step in meeting your new family member is an application. You can apply on our website, animalcharityofohio.org under the adopt tab. Please email ACOADOPTION@GMAIL.COM with any questions. After that you will be contacted by our adoption counselor. She will review your application and verify vet records. Please either have your records available for her review or give your vet permission to speak with her to expedite the process. If you have pets already in your home a meet and greet is required.
