Our Mission
Helping Animals Lost and Orphaned-HALO mission includes:
Supporting the community by providing behavior consultations and training to owners of new adopted shelter dogs and rescue organizations.
To provide assistance to shelter staff and volunteers of stress reducing strategies and techniques.
To provide behavior modification and kennel enrichment to stray, abandoned, and surrendered dogs newly admitted to the animal shelter.
To provide assistance, information, and training to others whose purposes are consistent with the purpose of the HALO team.
Adoption Policy
We ask that anyone interested in adopting a HALO dog to first fill out the adoption application at https://www.halok9behavior.com/dog-adoption-application.html.
If you are interested in adopting a cat, please fill out the application at https://www.halok9behavior.com/cat-adoption-application.html
After we receive you application, we will contact your references and push forward with the adoption process.
Please note that all adoptions require a home visit from a HALO representative.
It is our policy that any pets in an adopters home be spayed/neutered and up to date on shots prior to adopting a HALO pet.Â
