Our English Setter Rescue
Our Mission
We always have new dogs coming in. If you are looking for something (someone) special, please contact us! Chances are, we will come across just what you are looking for and can help you find the dog of your dreams.
If you don't currently see a dog you are interested in, or see one that has been recently adopted, you can always fill out an application and once approved, be placed on the wait list for a puppy, or whatever you are looking for!
Welcome to Our English Setter Rescue – formerly Ohio English Setter Rescue. OESR then and now! OESR is in a very exciting transition period with our name evolving to reflect better who we are. While we are forever proud of our Ohio roots and the rescue’s founding in Columbus, Ohio in 2007 we also must recognize the tremendous growth that has happened to the rescue and the setters we serve in a geographic area larger than Ohio.
OESR is now a multi-state rescue with volunteers
Adoption Policy
All of our dogs are adopted to approved homes after completing our screening process.
Vet and personal reference checks as well as a home visit will be conducted prior to final adoption approval for all OESR dogs.  All adoptive homes must  have a fenced yard or other type of containment or boundaries for the dog. Â
Please go to our website, www.oesr.org to fill out an application and to see our application requirements!
If you have any questions, just ask- we are happy to help. oesrinfo@gmail.com
We do not have a physical shelter, we operate solely out of foster homes, which we are always in short supply! If you are interested in fostering for us, please go to our website and fill out a foster application. It takes but a moment, but you will be surprised at how amazing it is to open your home to a dog in need. The dogs really bloom in foster care, and nothing compares to taking in an unwanted dog and seeing him/her end up with the perfect forever.
