Brown County Humane Society
Our Mission
Brown County Humane Society is a non profit 501c3 organization relying on donations and grants to fund the many programs that benefit the animals of Brown County.
Established in 1976, the Brown County Humane Society (BCHS) is dedicated to the care and well-being of animals in Brown County, Ohio by improving the lives of all animals and educating our community about proper and responsible care. BCHS is committed to placing the animals that come in through cruelty, neglect, homelessness or owner surrenders into permanent, loving homes.
Adoption Policy
There is an initial adoption application. Applications can be found at www.bchsohio.org.
Our contact info is on the application form. Selected applicants will be contacted for meetings. All animals are vaccinated, including rabies vacc, and spayed/neutered prior to going home with the adopters. BCHS does not adopt on a first come, first served basis but rather on the best fit for the animal and the person/family.
