Our Mission
Precious Paws Rescue is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit, no-kill cat and kitten rescue, shelter, and adoption facility located in WNY. We are 100%-volunteer.
We accept surrenders of stray kittens under the age of 4 months, female cats with nursing kittens, and some pregnant cats. We must keep within our space and budget constraints so that all will get the care and attention that they need to stay healthy.
Our mission is to provide the best care possible for cats and kittens in a shelter setting. We aim to reduce the stray cat population by getting kittens off the streets while they are young enough to adapt to change and accept an indoor cat's pampered life. We test for FeLV and FIV on intake, treat for parasites, spay or neuter at a local veterinarian's office, vaccinate at the appropriate ages, and then place them into loving, forever homes.
The shelter in North Tonawanda NY is open by APPOINTMENT only.

Please let us know what you're looking for, when you're available, your phone number, and the times you can accept calls. Allow us a few days to respond, as many of us have full-time jobs and families to take care of in addition to the cats. We will get back to you as soon as possible. However, we are an all-volunteer group so an appointment time is necessary to make sure an adoption facilitator is available to meet you.
Our kittens are typically ready to adopt between 3 and 4 months of age. Our veterinarians spay and neuter after they are 3 months old. We feel that the surgery is riskier if it's done earlier than that and the earliest age that they can receive their valid rabies vaccine is 3 months.

DONATE
As a 501(c)3 not-for-profit animal rescue we rely solely on fundraising and donations to help homeless cats & kittens. We are all-volunteer. We don't have any paid positions. Every dollar raised goes towards the shelter and care of the animals. We graciously accept monetary donations and other items on our wish list. Please email us to make arrangements for drop-off or pick-up of wish list items.
