Cat Castle NYC
Our Mission
Cat Castle NYC is a NYC/Rockland -based rescue and foster organization devoted to uniting felines with all kinds of families ♥
Adoption Policy
Cat Castle is eager to work with you and your family to help find the purrfect kitty to join your home!
Our process begins with an adoption application, found online on our website. One of our volunteers will contact you within 3-4 business days, and help answer any questions about our cats or adoption process.
Next, we will ask your permission to share your contact information with the cat's foster family, and connect you via text or email. In lieu of a meet n greet, you can chat with the foster family and arrange a video call to virtually meet the cat! (You may be nervous about this arrangement but don't worry - it has been working incredibly well, as our cats are already comfortable in their foster homes, and you can see their demeanor much more easily than an in person visit.)
Once you decide if a cat is right for you, we will follow up with an adoption confirmation email, including our adoption agreement, how to pay our adoption fee, info sheet, and cat's medical records. Then, we will help you and the foster arrange a time for you to pick up your new furriend from their foster home! Please be aware you must bring a carrier to transport your cat home in. Our foster homes are typically located in Manhattan or the Bronx. For disabled adopters or those needing accommodations please let us know and we will work something out!
~ please note ~
We do NOT have any in person meet n greets for our animals. Instead, we offer direct communication with their foster parents and virtual meet n greets. Because we are a foster based rescue, our homes are scattered through Manhattan, the Bronx, Rockland, Bergen, and Westchester counties. Coordinating and executing in person visits can take incredibly long and impede the adoption process. Moreover, virtual meetings help our cats and kittens show off their true personalities when they are comfortable and secure in a home. Even the friendliest cat can act shy when a stranger is in their house! Thank you for understanding.
