Our Mission
We are Golden Paw Society, Inc. We are a not-for-profit, all volunteer-run animal rescue organization dedicated to changing the plight of shelter cats on Long Island.   Â
As you may or may not know, our municipal shelters are filled to capacity with homeless, displaced cats; cats of all ages, many adults, who either sit for several months (day in, day out) waiting to be discovered and who are at-risk of being euthanized if they have or develop health issues. Golden Paw Society rescues cats from these shelters, rehabilitates them (physically, mentally) to prepare them for forever homes.
Adoption Policy
Most of our cats are at our Adoption Center in Huntington Station NY, and some are at Petsmart in Commack NY.
In order to meet any of our cats, kindly complete and submit our Adoption Application and one of our volunteers will be in touch with you ASAP to make arrangements for you to meet.
There is no fee or commitment to apply, but it is the first step necessary to have us consider you for adoption.
