We Need Not Wait To See What Others Will Do" - Gandhi
HALO is an all-volunteer nonprofit group dedicated to putting an end to the commercial mill dog industry, all the while rescuing and re-homing former mill dogs, homeless and abandoned animals, and euthanize listed dogs in overcrowded shelters. We believe every dog deserves a great life and that “puppy mills” are a big contributing factor to the many cast off pets needing homes.
Not sure you’re ready to adopt yet? HALO places non-aggressive dogs into temporary foster homes where they are socialized, spay/neutered, vaccinated, and treated for any medical or behavioral conditions which would otherwise limit their adoptability. Maybe you could open your heart and home to a dog needing a place to crash for a while.

Adoption Policy
Interested in one of our rescues? Please start by visiting our website at halomilldogrescue.org and filling out an adoption application. Our adoption fees are as follows:
$200 Puppy to 2 years of age.
$150 2 years and up.
$100 Special Needs.
We do not have a shelter or kennel facility that you can visit. All of our rescues are homed with one of HALO's founders or in a network off foster homes until they are ready for adoption. We would be happy to set up a time for a pup meet & greet as soon as we have your completed application.
