Friends for Life Animal Rescue Tri-State
Our Mission
Friends for Life Animal Rescue is a non-profit, 501(c)3, foster based, volunteer run rescue with foster homes in the Tri-state (PA, NJ, NY) area.
Our focus is to save the lives of dogs and puppies from the streets and from high-kill shelters in the south, especially Texas, and local owner surrenders.
Our mission is to place unwanted and in-danger animals in homes, no matter age or breed. To educate the public, and help stop animal cruelty and neglect.
Extra Info.-
*If a dog is listed on Petfinder, they are still available, and we accept applications. We approve applications on the best fit for both dog and family.
*We take our best guess on breed and size when fully grown.
* Our dogs are adopted from their foster home or straight from transport from kill shelters in the south.
*We always need foster homes so we can continue to save dogs. Please get in touch with us if you are interested in fostering.
Adoption Policy
1. Applicant completes an application.
2. FFLAR contacts references and vet.
3. Virtual Home Visit (video call) is conducted with potential adopter and FFLAR adoption team members. We strive to find the best fit for both adopter and dog.
4. If approved, a Meet and Greet is scheduled or transport pickup is confirmed. (Some of our dogs are in foster homes within the PA, NJ, area. Others arrive on transport from our fosters and rescue partners from Texas.)
5. Adopter gets a new "Friend for Life" and a pup has been saved.
