One Sweet World, Inc.
Our Mission
The mission of One Sweet World is to rescue and help cats in need, and to become a community resource for people seeking help or guidance. Some of what this includes is: offering TNR (trap, neuter, return) services to the local community; providing medical care on a case by case basis, including hospice care when necessary; fostering, socializing, and finding homes for the adoptable, and providing sanctuary for the unadoptable and special cases along the way. The ultimate goal is improving quality of life, regardless of their age, temperament, specific needs, or what situation they are coming from. One of our objectives is to get involved in community outreach and education regarding the importance of spaying and neutering companion animals, the value of TNR, and training in safe and proper humane trap usage, with the intention of helping to curb the local stray and feral cat population, minimize suffering, and relieving overcrowding at shelters. Our commitment is to the welfare of cats, and to the people who want to help them.
Adoption Policy
We vet every one of our adopters to make sure that we are setting up our kitties with the perfect match. There is an initial phone call to discuss hopes and expectations, followed by the potential adopter filling out our adoption application. If that is approved, we follow up with a meet & greet in our home. If that goes well, I usually deliver the cat to the adopter and do a home check simultaneously.
