To reach out and educate the public on the appropriate health care and general well-being of companion parrots.
To find homes for displaced companion parrots through our adoption program.
To provide a friendly and caring environment for our members and guests to socialize and learn from one another.
Adoption Policy
We are very excited that you are interested in adopting a parrot!Â
**Adoptions are not 'first come; first served'. We do not generally ship parrots or adopt outside of a 200-mile radius of Fargo, ND. The final placement decision rests solely with the C.A.A.R.E. Board of Directors.Â
Adoption Fees are based on the discretion of the CAARE Adoption Committee.  Payment of the Adoption Fee, etc., is due in full at the time of adoption.
Completing an Adoption Application and/or having a Home Visit does not guarantee that you will be approved to adopt a parrot from our shelter. We reserve the right to refuse any adoption.Â
