Our Mission
Vision:
To eliminate the homeless pet population in Franklin, Northern Wake, Southern Granville, Vance, & surrounding counties
Mission:
To save or improve the lives of homeless cats and dogs through foster-based rescue operations
Goals:
Build and maintain a robust 100% volunteer cadre
Continuously grow our operational capacity to keep pace with an increase in the number of animals saved year to year
To find every animal in our foster program a loving home
Reduce the number of homeless or abandoned animals through a subsidized spay/neuter program for owned pets
Build/maintain a transport program with northern rescue partners to alleviate over-crowding of local shelters
Educate the community/youth about animal welfare
Stay financially sound
Advocate for stronger local, state and federal animal welfare legislation
Adoption Policy
To adopt one of our pets you will need to fill out an application, which can be found on our website at https://pawsforlifenc.org on the adoptable dogs and adoptable cats pages. Someone will get in touch with you after you fill out your application.
Our fee includes - Spay/Neuter Surgery, Microchip, Testing for Felv/FIV (cats), testing and treatment for Heartworm (dogs), age appropriate vaccines.
Our adoption fee:
Cats/Kittens - $125.00 or two for $225.00, Cats 1 year and older $85
Dogs - Six months and older $300
Puppies - Six months and younger $325

Dogs and cats are cared for in our volunteers’ foster homes in the local area. Available-for-adoption dogs and cats are listed on our website. Each weekend we host in-person events. To find out which pets will be at an event and the location, please follow us on Facebook. Visit a selection of our cats showcased at Petco stores in Wake Forest and Raleigh, Petsense in Raleigh, and Frabjous Catfe in Wake Forest.
