Jan's Animal Rescue
Our Mission
Jan’s Animal Rescue is a 501 (c) (3), non-profit organization located in Greensboro, NC. The mission of Jan’s Animal Rescue is to rescue and re-home abandoned and homeless cats and dogs and to promote animal welfare through advocacy, education, the promotion of spay and neutering and the building of a community of like-minded individuals. We are 100 percent volunteer and are always looking for people to help at events, to foster animals, to fundraise, and to care for our pets at adoption centers. We look forward to standing shoulder to shoulder with you and to having you join us in saying no more! The homelessness and overpopulation of cats and dogs is a problem that can be solved... with your help. So, help put us out of work and contact us about how to get involved today!
Adoption Policy
Jan's Animal Rescue reserves the right to turn down any potential adopter for reasons they determine. Jan's Animal Rescue tries to match each animal with the best possible home based on what is best for the animal, as is decided by Jan's Animal Rescue. Jan's Animal Rescue will adopt out of state but does not transport animals out of state. Any other requests for transport may be considered but are not guaranteed. We are 100% volunteer and do not have the resources for transport. We also request that any animal adopted from Jan's Animal Rescue be returned to Jan's Animal Rescue and not turned in to another shelter or rescue group. Upon contact about the need to return an animal, reasons will be reviewed and we will work to keep the animal with the adoptee. Reasons such as moving are not valid as a pet is part of the family and the adoption is for the life of the animal. Please think about your lifestyle and commitments. Please do not make the decision to adopt purely on emotion. If needed, Jan's Animal Rescue can arrange for a trial period or perhaps becoming a foster would be a good idea to allow you to see what having a pet is all about.
