Fine Whines and Lickers
Our Mission
After many years of fostering and volunteering for local the animal shelters and rescues we had finally decided to open our own rescue. We are a non-profit organization dedicated saving dogs of all sizes and breeds by placing them into loving, forever homes. We provide shelter to dogs who would have otherwise been euthanized as a result of overcrowding and/or the lack of resources to find them a forever home. We work together with the other non-profit rescues and shelters to raise funds for by organizing and participating in fundraisers. We also provide transportation of animals, donated food and pet supplies to facilities who are in need of such a service. We also serve our community and adopters by educating and encouraging responsible pet ownership with an emphasis on the need for spaying and neutering.
Fine Whines and Lickers, Inc. located in rural North Carolina, provides a no kill, non-discriminatory rescue dedicated to the adoption of homeless and abandoned dogs. We avidly work toward
Adoption Policy
In case “Because it’s the right thing to do” isn’t enough. A shelter pet is more than one in a million—she’s one in 2.7 million. That’s the number of adoptable dogs and cats who are still euthanized each year in the United States, simply because too many pets come into shelters and too few people adopt. The number of euthanized animals could be reduced dramatically if more people adopted pets instead of buying them. When you adopt, you save your animal and open up shelter space for another animal who might need it.
