Piedmont Animal Rescue
Our Mission
Piedmont Animal Rescue is now and Adoption Partner with Petco Foundation!
Piedmont Animal Rescue started as an idea in the mind of our Founder and Executive Director Jason Benge.  Jason most recently served as the Dog Coordinator for Humane Society of Iredell, now Lake Norman Humane.  He made his start in the rescue world over 10 years ago as a Cat Foster for the Iredell County Humane Society.  About 2 years ago in 2015 he and is family started fostering dogs for the Humane Society of Iredell and in January of 2016 was asked to become the Dog Coordinator for the organization.  He took this job very seriously and rescued over 500 dogs in 2016.  He was part of a successful team that rescued and rehomed 879 animals in 2016.
