The Tucker McGirt Foundation
Our Mission
The Tucker McGirt Foundation is a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Organization. We are an all volunteer organization whose mission is to save and improve the lives of companion animals by connecting people, resources and knowledge. We rescue and rehome animals from high intake, low adoption shelters where they are at risk, as well as private home situations where an animal can no longer be cared for.
When you volunteer with The Tucker McGirt Foundation, you make a difference for homeless animals and for the people who love saving them.
We were founded in 2022 as a way to remember the life of a beloved pet and best friend, Tucker. Â Recognizing the need to better the lives of homeless, abandoned, and abused animals in our community, our goal is to make a difference, one animal at a time.
Our ability to change lives is directly dependent on the number of volunteers and foster homes available.Â
If you want to help save animals while having fun with a group of like-minded people, we hope you’ll join us.
Adoption Policy
We do a vet reference on all adopters once they fill out our application. We also will complete a home check through a FaceTime video chat. If this is their first pet we will call references of people they work with.
