Protecting Paws Animal Rescue
Our Mission
Protecting Paws Animal Rescue (PPAR) is based out of Prior Lake, MN. We are a 100% foster based animal rescue. This means that we do not have a facility. All of our animals go directly from the shelter to a foster home, where our amazing foster families work with the animal on any training that may be needed prior to adoption.  We specialize in dogs, cats, and horses. Protecting Paws was founded in November, 2012. We have saved approximately 1625 animals from death row since forming.  We mainly pull dogs from the states of MN, TN, OK, KY, GA, AL, TX, SD, and ND. We will always help our local animals in need prior to out of state animals. We also take owner surrenders.
PPAR is run and operated by a very dedicated team of volunteers. We work diligently to try to save as many animals as we have funds and homes for. We provide a safe, loving foster home, vet care, and the everyday necessities to the animals in our care until we find them their fur-ever h
Adoption Policy

All of our available dogs are currently in foster homes. If you are interested in meeting one of our available dogs or cats please email adoptions.protectingpaws@gmail.com or go to our website www.protectingpawsanimalrescue.org and fill out an adoption application. Approved applicants will be contacted and we will set up a time for you to meet the available dog or cat. If a match is made we will do a background check, vet reference, home visit, complete an adoption contract and finalize the adoption. All available dogs are given age appropriate vaccines, veterinary exams, spayed/neutered, micro-chipped, and dewormed prior to adoption.Â
