Northern Lakes Rescue
Our Mission
Northern Lakes Rescue is a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to saving the lives of dogs in need. We rescue dogs from high-kill shelters, abusive situations, and owner surrenders. We provide them with foster homes, medical care, spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchips, and adoption opportunities. We also support low-income shelters and owners who need assistance with their pets by providing food, supplies, and education. Our vision is to create a world where every dog has a loving and safe home. Our mission is to advocate for animal welfare, reduce pet overpopulation, and find forever homes for our furry friends.
Adoption Policy
We do not focus on one definition of a perfect home and instead focus on finding the best home for that particular dogs needs. Some dogs may require homes with fences, other dogs, children etc. while others do not.
We are a foster based rescue, we do not house dogs at a facility. Age and breed, are NLR's best guess as we often don't know who or what mom and dad are. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website https://northernlakesrescue.org
Our adoption fees cover spay, vaccinations, microchip and any additional medical care the dogs may have needed while in the rescue’s care.
