Oceana County Animal Shelter
Our Mission
If you see a pet you are interested in adopting, please call the shelter at 231-861-5395 and leave a message to be placed on that pets' adoption list.
No obligation, but it reserves your place in line on the list. After the required 4 business day hold period for the owner to find and reclaim their pet, the shelter will contact interested persons in the order they are on that pet's adoption list.
Open Monday through Saturday 8 a.m. to noon, except holidays. Call 231-861-5395.
We are a small rural, county animal control shelter in an area of 524 square miles and a population of about 28,000.
We have room for only 15 dogs and 7 cats.Â
Please come see our animals ready for adoption, and feel free to take them for a little walk. We are always looking for volunteers to help us.
