Our Mission
The Humane Society is proud to announce that so far this year we are over 90% out alive rate!
Over the last two years the Humane Society of Carroll County has been working diligently to commit ourselves to our new mission and vision. In that time we have gone from approximately a 50% out alive rate to over 90% out alive rate while maintaining an open admission status, performing animal control services, and cruelty investigations for Carroll County, MD. This dynamic change is a result of numerous innovative adoption programs and initiatives. Our educational outreach program “The Humane Connection” targets all ages and demographics in our community. The implementation of a volunteer corps has impacted all areas of operations but none more dramatic than behavior enrichment for our canine guests making them more adoptable.
