Small Angels Rescue
Our Mission
Small Angels Rescue, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, no kill, all volunteer organization dedicated to rescuing and rehoming guinea pigs, rats, hamsters, gerbils, and fancy mice. The mission of Small Angels is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome guinea pigs, rats, hamsters, gerbils, and fancy mice. These animals are worthy of respectful and compassionate treatment. We advocate and facilitate responsible animal care and companionship.
Small Angels was founded in the fall of 2003 when the organizers recognized a need for a group to help small animals abandoned at animal shelters. The rescue was founded as a way to move these animals into foster homes for socialization and proper attentive care, as well as streamline the adoption process and provide accurate thorough information to adopters about these often misunderstood animals. Animals are acquired directly via public surrenders and from local shelters and animal welfare groups. We use an extensive network of foster homes to care for the animals until we can find them a forever home.
Adoption Policy
Small Angels Rescue does not have a physical shelter; rather we care for animals through our network of foster care homes. As such, adoptions are scheduled by appointment only at times and locations agreed upon by the rescue and the adopter. Please reach out to info@smallangelsrescue.org if you are interested in learning more about adoption.
