ARNO (Animal Rescue New Orleans)
Our Mission
Mission Statement and History: Animal Rescue New Orleans (ARNO) is a volunteer-based organization created and dedicated to the rescue and aid of abandoned and homeless animals founded in the wake of Hurricane Katrina as the first no-kill shelter to serve the New Orleans area. ARNO responds to the immediate aid of those in need of medical care especially those most at risk: the old, very young, sick, neglected, abused or deprived of love. ARNO supports the foster, adoption and reunion of pets with caretakers; as well as spaying and neutering of all companion animals. Since March of 2006 ARNO has rescued and rehomed over 12,500 animals.
