The Michiana Humane Society takes in hundreds of lost or unwanted dogs, cats and critters each year and works hard to find them the best possible forever homes. Â All of our dogs, cats, and rabbits are spayed or neutered before going home -- we hope that will help reduce the overpopulation of pets in the future!
Our basic service area is LaPorte County, Indiana and the southwest corner of Berrien County, Michigan. Â We do not restrict adoptions to those areas, but preference is given to homes within an hour or two's drive from the shelter.

The Michiana Humane Society's hours are:
Monday and Thursday, 11-6:30 pm
Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, 11-5:00 pm
Saturday, 11-3:00 pm
Sunday, 11-3:00 pm
