Hoosier Bulldog Rescue
Our Mission
To accept Bulldogs directly from owners who can no longer keep them, regardless of the reasoning.
To accept Bulldogs from shelters in order to provide them with specialty care and placement that may otherwise be difficult for an all-breed facility.
To rehabilitate Bulldogs through medical and behavioral intervention.
To educate the public and potential adopters on the special needs of the Bulldog breed.
To educate the community on responsible pet ownership.
To assist people/families in keeping their Bulldog. Rescue is not only about rehoming dogs; it's also about keeping dogs in good families when possible. Please browse through our website library to find a wealth of information from our favorite holistic veterinarians, canine nutritionists, etc. We are always updating and adding more information. Have a question? Reach out and we'll try to guide you to the right resources.
Adoption Policy
We have a standard adoption application on our website that must be filled out. We then contact all individuals to review their application via phone and discuss further what dog(s) they are interested in. We do a background check, personal reference check, vet reference check, and a home visit prior to finalizing adoption. We stay in touch with our adopters for the life of the dog; many of our adopters come back to us to adopt again.
