Lawrence County Humane Society
Our Mission
The Lawrence County Humane Society is a Non-Profit 501 (c) (3) shelter which takes in, cares for, and finds loving and forever homes for Lawrence County's abandoned dogs and cats. We are a no-kill shelter.
Â
We were established in Sept of 1993 by Linda Collier, our goal is to help the abandoned and abused animals of Lawrence County, and also reunite lost dogs with their owners, and to help the pet owners and the public realize how important it is to have all animals spayed or neutered.
We are a Non-profit 501 (c) (3), we are not City, State or County funded, and we rely solely on donations, from the community and our supporters.
If you would like to make a donation to our shelter to help support the animals our address is LCHS PO Box 415 Lawrenceville IL 62439

Adoption Policy
Are you interested in adopting one of our furry friends?Â
Our adoption fee is $78 for cats (this includes spay/neuter, rabies, and microchip) and $98 for dogs (this includes spay/neuter, rabies, and microchip).Â
Potential adopters should make an appointment to visit the shelter and get to know the dog/cat you are interested in.....and remember all family members in the household need to approve of adopting a pet.
All adopted pets that are not already altered must be spayed/neutered within 30 days of adoption (age permitting). We strongly prefer that other pets in the home be altered as well.
We have dogs and cats to suit every person and family. Call or email the shelter and let us help find the perfect pet for you!
