Chicago Animal Care and Control (CACC) is committed to ensuring the humane care of animals through sheltering, pet placement, education, and animal law enforcement. As Chicago’s only open-admission, municipal animal shelter, CACC provides a centralized resource for animal-related services for Chicago residents, and promotes the humane stewardship of animals throughout the City.
