Our Mission
Welcome to the Humane Society of North Iowa!Â
Our organization was founded over 50 years ago with the mission to provide temporary shelter, food, medical attention, and comfort to displaced and neglected companion animals and educate the public about the humane care of animals with a goal of reducing overpopulation.
The heart of our mission is the operation of our pet adoption center in Mason City, IA.
Adoption Policy
The Humane Society of North Iowa adopts hundreds of animals each year to loving, qualified homes. To adopt an animal from us, you are asked to submit an Adoption Application.
Adoption fee covers the following veterinarian services: spay/neuter surgery, all age appropriate vaccinations, flea and dewormer treatment, feline leukemia test in cats, heart worm test for dogs.
Adoption Fees:
Felines:
Kittens (under 1 year): $150.00
Adult Cats: $125.00
Canines:
Puppies (under 6 months): $300.00
Adult & Puppies (over 6 months): $250.00
