Rescue Kitties of Hawaii
Our Mission
Hawaii is paradise, but not for homeless cats. Our mission and purpose is to rescue abandoned, injured, special needs, and homeless cats on our Hawaiian islands, and to provide urgent medical care. Our volunteers fight daily to save them from euthanasia due to overpopulation and lack of resources. Our goal is to advocate awareness, educate, save cats from harsh conditions in the wild, TNRM, adoption, foster care and networking.
Adoption Policy
Rescue Kitties of Hawaii (RKH) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that takes in abandoned, homeless, and unwanted cats and kittens. It is our goal to place these pets into loving, caring, and forever homes. You are not purchasing a pet from us, you are agreeing to adopt and care for a living, breathing creature who deserves safety and love. Your answers may be our assurance that this animal will live in a good, permanent home. All of your answers and information are confidential.
All of the cats and kittens available for adoption are fully vetted, meaning they are vaccinated, flea-treated, dewormed, treated for parasites, spayed/neutered, microchipped, socialized in our foster program, healthy, and ready for their furrever family! At times, these cats may require dental work, or other health-related attention, which we also take care of, prior to adoption.
To meet a pet, a potential adopter should fill out the adoption application, and be approved before meeting any cats. It is up to the discretion of RKH as to whether this application process will include a home check (in person or virtual). We do not use a first-come, first-serve process when adopting out cats, instead we focus on best fit for each individual cat. The process is intended to ensure a best-fit, long-term successful adoption for both the family and pet.
The adoption fee is $100 for kittens and adult cats.
