Jasper County Humane Society
Our Mission
Tracy Campbell started rescuing animals from JCAS 8 yrs ago, 1 at a time. She would have them vetted, then find them great homes. She realized that the need was greater than one at a time, and she teamed up with Michelle Bryant, also a Jasper county resident and animal lover, to recreate the Humane Society that had been lying dormiant for quite some time. Both women have full time jobs, mothers and grandmothers, but have dedicated all spare time to help and assist Jasper County Animal Shelter in their need of overcrowding. Jasper County Humane Society offers low cost spay/neuters, rabies/vaccination clinics and also can provide free assistance to our residents in need. We also are working on helping the animals that are tethered thru education as well as assistance with pet owners for find appropriate ways to keep an animal contained. Our mission is to reduce our county's euthansia rate, stop the backyard breeding, help our community having pets altered and contained humanely thru education and efforts.
Adoption Policy
We have a website jaspercohumanesociety.org, where adoption applications can be filled out. Once we receive an application, it is reviewed and vet reference is checked. If homeowner has additional animals, home checks are made for meet and greets with all animals within that household.
