Cedartown Animal Rescue, Education & S
Our Mission
CARES Mission: Save lives by re-homing at risk animals into forever homes, reduce the number of unwanted pets through effective spay/neuter programs, and create a better world for all animals by helping to educate the public on responsible pet care and pet retention.
CARES is an all-volunteer, 501c3 non-profit rescue organization that is licensed with the Ga Dept. of Agriculture. We receive no government funding and rely solely on contributions of caring animal lovers. CARES operates on a No Kill philosophy.
Our main focus is on rescuing shelter animals at risk for euthanasia. We work with several area animal control facilities to pull these animals to safety when their mandatory hold time is up. CARES consists of a network of foster homes where the animal is kept in a nurturing, loving environment as they are vetted, socialized and awaiting their perfect home. In keeping with our mission statement, CARES has programs to help educate the public on pet care and responsibilities as well as facilitating the community in low cost sterilization options for their pets.
If you would like to learn more about CARES, you can do so by visiting our website at www.caresga,org, our Instagram at Cares_Ga or on our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/cedartownanimalrescue. We are always looking for devoted volunteers who share our passion to save these deserving animals. You can request an adoption application, foster application, or gets answers to your questions by contacting us at info.caresga@gmail.com.
If you are not ready to bring a new furry friend into your life quite yet, you can help support our efforts by donating. All donations are 100% tax deductible and since we are an all-volunteer organization with no brick & mortar facility, we have no paid staff and very low overhead! This means that 100% of your donation goes DIRECTLY to the animals!
You can donate funds directly to us which will be used for ever increasing vet bills for our rescue. Vet bills are BY FAR our biggest expense and why we have to limit the amount of animals we are able to help:
