Our Mission
Hardee County Animal Control is committed to helping protect the health, safety, and welfare of both citizens and domestic animals in the unincorporated areas of Hardee County through enforcement and regulation of County Ordinances and State Statues.
Adoption Policy
Adoptions fees are $45.00 payable by cash or check only at this time. Adoption fees include sterilization (spay/neuter) and rabies inoculation. Adopters must be 18 years of age or older and accept the terms and conditions contained in the adoption application. ALL ANIMALS WILL BE STERILIZED PRIOR TO RELEASE TO THE ADOPTER. Adopters are responsible for picking up their new addition from the veterinarian clinic located in Hardee County once procedures are complete. Surgeries are normally scheduled in the mornings and the vet clinic will hold the patient overnight after surgery. There are no additional fees to pay at the vet clinic unless you are requesting additional procedures such as micro-chipping or additional shots. Additional services are paid by adopter directly to the vet clinic.
