Our Mission
Adoption fees include spay/neuter, microchip, current on vaccines and preventative. Puppies/$300. Young/$275. Adult/$200. (Fees may vary if someone has contributed to sponsor the dog.) We do not have a physical location for you to visit. Our dogs are in individual foster homes. We do not do meets on Sundays or after 6:00 pm during the week. Please understand we have no paid staff. We are an all volunteer 501c3 non-profit from the president to our fosters. In addition to volunteering, we have jobs, families, pets of our own and other responsibilities. The Sunshine State Animal Rescue (SSAR) is no-kill animal rescue in FL. Foster based located in the Navarre, Florida area (Northwest Florida). Sanctuary & rehoming of shelter animals, including assessing potential working dog candidates. (501c3 non profit) All care for animals is dependent totally on donations. No one affiliated with the rescue receives payment or a salary - we are completely volunteer based and dependent on the community. Our board of directors is filled with dedicated professionals - including small business owners, paralegal, nurse, dog trainers, and more - all with long term experience in animal shelter and rescue work.
