Whiskers Pet Rescue
Our Mission
Whiskers Pet Rescue is a no-kill animal rescue organization in Connecticut. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit charity committed to helping and caring for animals who have been abandoned, injured, abused, or neglected. We're a hard-working group of people with a huge passion for helping our whiskered friends. We rescue and adopt out hundreds of pets each year, placing them in loving forever homes.
HOW YOU CAN HELP:
In addition to adopting your new best friend from us, you can help local animals in need by supporting our rescue organization in other ways as well. We can always use more VOLUNTEERS in our Cat Adoption Center, as well as temporary FOSTER HOMES for our animals.
DONATIONS are also needed and greatly appreciated. Secure credit card donations can be made on our website. If you'd like to donate supplies, please refer to the Wish List on our website to see the items we are most in need of for our rescued animals. Checks can be made out to Whiskers Pet Rescue and mailed to:

Whiskers Pet Rescue receives no state or federal funding. We are able to help as many animals as we do thanks to generous donations from people like you. All of the money we raise goes to the direct care of our animals. All donations are tax deductible.
If you'd like more information on volunteering or fostering, or to donate online, please visit our website.
Adoption Policy
All of our cats and kittens are tested for FIV and FeLV and receive age-appropriate vaccines. They are spayed/neutered at 4 months of age. Younger kittens come with a voucher (included in their adoption fee) that may be redeemed for a free spay/neuter at Southbury Veterinary Hospital.
Approved application and vet reference (or an interview, if you don't have a vet) required to adopt.Â
