Danbury Animal Welfare Society, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of animals in our community and beyond.
We promote responsible pet guardianship and the humane treatment of animals, and work toward ending animal overpopulation through education and a variety of programs. We take pride in the work we do – working to keep homeless pets safe, happy and sheltered.
Adoption Policy
Adoption Process
Our goal is to find you the perfect pet for your family. We recommend that you consider what age, size and temperament of cat or dog would best suit your lifestyle, home and family. When you see an animal posted that you think is a good match, submit our online adoption application. The link to the application is https://daws.org/daws-forms/. An Adoption Counselor will process your application and once approved, a meet and greet with the cat or dog will be arranged.
