Our Mission
Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Los Angeles (spcaLA) is dedicated to the prevention of cruelty to animals through Education, Law Enforcement, Intervention, & Advocacy. spcaLA is an independent, nonprofit animal welfare organization serving Southern California since 1877.

Adoption Policy
Adoptions are done in-person: first-come, first-serve at our Pet Adoption Centers. Appointments are not necessary, but you can save time by filling out an application in advance. We will review your application with you in-person when you visit the Pet Adoption Center.
Please note, submitting an application DOES NOT hold or reserve an animal or guarantee adoption.
