Our Mission
Sammie's Friends is a 501©(3) non-profit corporation.  This mission of Sammie's Friends is to provide medical care for the animals at the Nevada County Animal Shelter, making them adoptable, and to support other disadvantages animals in Nevada County that without help would otherwise be euthanized to end their suffering.  Sammie's Friends is run by a small staff, hundreds of volunteers and many other people who contribute their time, effort, money, ideas, enthusiasm and most of all, compassion for the animals.
