We are a volunteer based 501(c)(3) trying to save the lives of homeless pets in our community.
Bandit’s Buddies Rescue is a registered 501c non-profit organization based in Fresno, CA. BBR was founded in 2009 by Sandy Polly in honor of her beloved border collie, Bandit, who she rescued at 3 weeks old in 2002. Sandy has loved animals her entire life, and recognized the need for a “second chance” rescue in the central valley, where euthanasia rates are the 3rd highest in the country. BBR takes dogs (many chihuahuas and smaller breeds, with the occasional larger breed) from high kill shelters, who are “eleventh hour” dogs scheduled to be euthanized.

We are a volunteer based organization, which means we have full time jobs and families too, so please understand if we don’t get back to you right away. Texting is much more efficient for us to meet your needs.
We have a few simple forms for you to fill out- please email us for them so we can evaluate them before hand. We will also ask you a series of questions to make sure your personality and lifestyle is right for the dog. We want to ensure you are a perfect match. If you decide that the dog you chose isn’t the right for your family, we will take the dog back, but no refund is issued. We never want to see the dogs we save end up at the pound!
